If you have a mild case of gum disease, Dr. Blue and our staff can help you heal by removing bacteria, plaque, and tartar from the affected area. More advanced cases may require osseous surgery. In these instances, Dr. Blue will remove a portion of the gums to reach the tooth roots, which he will thoroughly clean of any bacteria, plaque, or tartar before replacing the gum tissue. The gums will typically heal within a few weeks after your osseous surgery is completed.
